In 2011, Cassandra Stavrou was done with the snacking status quo. Tired of the same old options and trade-offs, she turned a cement mixer and car spray painter into a snack-making machine. This was the start of a journey to change how snacks were being made and marketed, and she hasn’t stopped since.

From launching at London Fashion Week to becoming the first B Corp snack brand, we’ve always viewed snacks as an experience to be designed and curated.

Eat Real’s story starts in 1960s Nairobi, where Dinesh Patel built a thriving snack business, Cofresh. In 1974, political unrest brought Dinesh, and his unstoppable drive, to the UK, where Eat Real was born.

A brand created from the vibrancy of multiculturalism. Founded by an entrepreneurial spirit who eschewed traditional potato-based snacks and instead created snacks made from pulses, grains and greens. All driven by a pioneering mentality that came from a founder who believed in bringing new to snacks flavours to the category.
